Rooms
Penguin's Nest is an adults-only guest house in Betty's Bay. Each room has a private bathroom, heating, a fireplace, a balcony, and parquet floors. Some rooms have sea views, while others face the garden or mountains. In rooms with a sea view, large windows make it easy to watch the ocean from bed.
Self-Catering and BBQ
There is no restaurant on site. A kitchen area has plenty of utensils, an indoor braai, and tea, instant coffee, milk, sugar, and rusks for breakfast. Outside, the BBQ facilities and garden are there if you want to cook. For a meal out, ask the hosts about Waaygat. Keep in mind that nearby restaurants close early.
Beach and Hikes
The guest house sits on the beachfront. Silver Sands Beach is a 12-minute walk away, and the penguin colony is a 5-8 minute walk. There are hiking and cycling activities nearby, with Mt Hebron, Howhoek, and Kogelberg nature reserves close by. Sun loungers or beach chairs are available, along with an outdoor terrace and a patio with sea views. You can hear the waves from the porch at night.
Getting There
Penguin's Nest is in Betty's Bay, 75 km from Cape Town International Airport. Free private parking is available on-site. The beach and penguin colony are within walking distance, and the nature reserves are nearby.
